Based on what was released by the United Nation Population Fund in 2008, the world has a large number of urban societies and communities than the rural ones. It is expected that between two thousand and seven and two thousand and fifty, the number of people in the whole world would increase to become two and half billion. In addition, two third of the countries that dont have a huge development would remain in urban locations and places. Almost seventy five percent of this quick increase could be existed in cities with small areas in which more than half of the total international population live and work. As a matter of fact, people go and live in urban places because they provide them with health advantages like health care and insurance, huge supermarkets, food supplies, facilities and services as well as education and culture which contribute in growth, prosperity and economic boom in addition to technological improvement. Despite the fact that urban societies and development led to the growth and health on a large scale, it resulted in the production of negative defects and disadvantages. Due to the rapid increase in number of population, societies damage cities that dont have any kind of municipal control and dominion in order to deal with the incrementing difficulties and challenges. The situation is really hard especially in the developing states and areas which show and demonstrate a growth in poor houses and areas with concentrated number of people leading to the emission of gases. Furthermore, these states encounter huge risks due to the spread of diseases while the health systems fight and suffer to work efficiently but they fail. Poverty in Africa: As a matter of fact, relative poverty is a word used in order to refer to people who dont have enough money to live like their neighbors or other populations in the entire world. In addition, this word is used in other definitions and meanings like United Kingdom Child Poverty. As for politicians, there are arguments and discussions between them whether the classification of social categories between poor and rich people is regarded as a positive or a negative thing. On the other hand, there is another term called absolute poverty. There are other people who are poorer than the minimum limit. In other word, their week salary is less than the hourly salary of a British person which is five dollars and ninety three. Based on the definitions of World Bank, absolute poverty refers to people whose income is less than seventy five piasters or one and half sterling pounds in a day while extreme poverty refers to people whose income is less than one and quarter sterling pound or seventy five piasters. In certain areas in the whole world, seventy five piasters in a day are not sufficient to pay for the real and basic things needed in life like food, clothes and water as well as houses which are required so that those people could live in an appropriate human conditions. On the other hand, there are students who couldnt finish their education or even go to schools because they couldnt buy soap to wash their uniforms. According to an Indian economist named Amartya Sen, he wrote an analysis about Poverty and Famine and was awarded the Nobel Prize at the end of the nineties. Based on what he mentioned in that analysis, in the majority of cases, the causes that contributed in forming poverty and famine werent in the shortage of food supplies in the society but because of lack in social and economic growth and development. During the last thirty years, international absolute poverty has decreased from forty percent to twenty percent. On the contrary, the rates of poverty and famine in African countries didnt witness any kind of drop or reduction. Till today more than forty percent of people who live in Sub-Saharan Africa struggle and fight to survive and face poverty.
